Blood orange kicks up the vitamin C, potassium and antioxidants in this bracing cocktail. Citrus is a great way to release a little extra water weight—so you can detox (a little) while you drink.
- 2 ounces blood orange juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon-thyme simple syrup*
Lemon-thyme simple syrup: bring 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water and 2 sprigs lemon-thyme to a low simmer. Stir until sugar dissolves. Allow to cool.
Pour blood orange juice, gin and simple syrup over ice in a Collins glass, top with Pellegrino and stir. Garnish with a sprig of lemon-thyme.
